SINGLE ENTRY / ORDINARY / TOURIST VISA

  • Copy of the applicant’s valid passport;
  • Visa application form dully filled in;
  • Respective visa Fee;
  • 2 passport size photographs (for those lodging their applications through embassies). See also Type of Photo Below
  • Provide flight itinerary, ticket or tour operator package receipt.
  • People traveling for specific reasons other than tourism must submit a letter from their organization or office. These include but not limited to volunteers, people attending meetings & conferences, studies, diplomatic, official and any other business not mentioned here.
  • Visa applications for minors under 18 years traveling alone or with only one parent/legal guardians should be accompanied by a notarized letter, jointly signed by parents or legal guardians approving the minor to travel, A copy of their ID

MULTIPLE VISA

  • Valid passport at least for 6 month
  • Visa application form duly filled in;
  • Security Bond duly filled;
  • Valid passport copy of the invitee;
  • Three passport size photographs;
  • Copy of the valid Passport or any other identity (For a host citizen of Tanzania);
  • Documents of  the Company like TIN, VAT, Registration Certificate, Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum etc;
  • Any other evidence to prove that the applicant is bound to travel frequently into the United Republic of Tanzania.

TOURIST VISA

  • Copy of the applicant’s valid passport;
  • An entry visa or onward ticket to the intended country of destination;
  • Respective visa fee;
  • 2 passport size photographs ( for those lodging their applications through embassies).
  • Provide photocopies of hotel booking, airline ticket, booking from a tour operator in case participating in a tourist trail.

VISITING FRIENDS / PRIVATE VISA

  • Copy of the applicant’s valid passport;
  • An entry visa or onward ticket to the intended country of destination;
  • Respective visa fee;
  • 2 passport size photographs ( for those lodging their applications through embassies).
  • Copy of an invitation letter of your host indicating full contacts. In case the inviting person is non Tanzanian, a copy of the resident permit is required.

TRANSIT VISA

  • Copy of the applicant’s valid passport;
  • An entry visa or onward ticket to the intended country of destination;
  • Respective visa fee;
  • 2 passport size photographs ( for those lodging their applications through embassies).

BUSINESS / MISSION VISA

  • A valid passport at least for 6 month
  • A work contract or any proof of the work/assignment to be performed within a period not exceeding three months;
  • Respective visa fee.
  • Provide a detailed invitation letter from your host in Tanzania indicating travel dates, support, address and full contacts of the host including telephone number in Tanzania.

FEES:

  • 30 Euros – Transit Visa
  • 50 Euros – Ordinary Visa (Single entry, valid of 3 months starting from the date of issue).
  • 250 Euros - Business Visa (Issued for one entry only and valid for 3 months)
  • 100 Euros – Multiple Entry (valid for one year)
  • The visa fee must be paid in cash, by credit card or bank transfer to the order of the Embassy of Tanzania.

  • A treatment for malaria is recommended.

Type of Photo

The characteristics of photography

The photo must be recent (taken in the last 6 months) and reflecting your current appearance
The photograph can be done by a professional or in a photo booth

a) Color: In color

b) Format: The photo should measure 35mm wide and 45mm high

c) Orientation of the head, gaze, expression and eyes

  • The face must be completely visible and clear
  • Face in front of the lens
  • The head must be straight
  • Neutral expression and closed mouth
  • The eyes must be perfectly visible and open

d) Quality of the photo: The photo must be clean, without crease or trace.

e) Background: The background behind you in the photo must be clean and must be light in color (white, off-white, light gray).

f) Glasses and frames: The frame must not obscure the eyes.
